Akmenrags, Latvia

Akmeņrags (Akmensraga) majakka sijaitsee Latvian Itämeren rannikolla, Akmensragsin alueella.

Rakennettu vuonna 1889. Vuonna 1911 korvattiin aiempi 28-metrinen puinen majakka kivimajakalla. 1915 ensimmäisessä maailmansodassa majakka tuhoutui täysin, jäi vain 6 m korkea pohja. Nykyinen tornirakennus valmistui vuonna 1921. Rakennusmateriaalit tuotiin bonttoonilla Liepajasta, meriteitse. Majakka on 38 metriä korkea tiilitorni (jossa lyhty, lyhdyn halkaisija 2,5 m), valon korkeus 37,5 metriä merenpinnan yläpuolella.



Akmeņrags (Akmensraga) lighthouse is located in the Latvian Baltic Sea coast, Akmensrags district.

It was build in 1889. The wooden lighthouse was replaced 1911th with stone lighthouse. 1915th at the First World War, the lighthouse was completely destroyed, remained only 6 m high base. The current tower building completed in 1921. Building materials were brought before the sea from Liepaja to Akmensraga handled shallow floating pontoons with which they are delivered to the offshore constructed trestles. Lighthouse is 38 meters high brick tower (with the lantern, lanterns diameter 2.5 m), fire height of 37.5 m above sea level.
