Therefore, the lighthouse in Blåvand has&amp;nbsp;for more the hundred years helped the ships around the many sandbanks.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The lighthouse is about 38 meters high and you are able to see a great deal&amp;nbsp;of the area from the top. lighthouse on Bovbjerg Cliff is a landmark of the west coast of Jutland. Sailors are unlikely to mistake it for the whitewashed churches in Ferring and Trans as the red lighthouse is 41 metres above sea level.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Dating from 1877, the 26-metres tall lighthouse was the first in Denmark to have adjoining quarters for the keeper in a three-winged horse-shoe shape. and there were no large dunes around it.&amp;nbsp; With time the sea moved in closer, and, simultaneously, the wind blew large amounts of sand up from the cliff.&amp;nbsp; The sand piled up in front of and around the lighthouse.&amp;nbsp; It filled the well and ruined the kitchen gardens.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;To suppress the sand pine grates were set in and&amp;nbsp; lyme grass and helmet was planted in the dune.&amp;nbsp; The only result was that the dune just grew larger.&amp;nbsp; The architect N.S.Nebelong has drawn the lighthouse. He has 144  steps and it is 35 m high and has a focus height of 57 m above sea level.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The lighthouse all 30 seconds sends a firm white light with a strong flashing sign.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The Hirtshals lighthouse reminds from the construction very much of the Skagen lighthouse. The architect N.S.Nebelong has drawn both towers. It lies about halfway across the strait, 6.7 km from the Zealand shore and 8 km from the Funen shore.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a href="http://picasaweb.google.fi/lh/photo/woKt3sEKQkQAEMw8oYJBTQ?feat=embedwebsite"&gt;&lt;img height="800" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/_9jS0g4JpBIc/TMXDgIWjsGI/AAAAAAAAhDc/T9um7v9v60c/s800/101020_Stor-Belt_majakka.jpg" width="533" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Today, the island forms part of the Great Belt fixed link, and is connected to Funen by a road and rail bridge, and to Zealand by both a road suspension bridge and twin rail tunnels. The island is crossed when using the link. During the construction, the island was drastically remodelled, with land reclamation increasing its area from 38 to 154 hectares.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a href="http://picasaweb.google.fi/lh/photo/35r0uPb_LuzN8FZmln5NPg?feat=embedwebsite"&gt;&lt;img height="533" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/_9jS0g4JpBIc/TMXDhTe-YhI/AAAAAAAAhDk/HB6NMXvx3Zg/s800/101020_Iso-Beltin_silta_paluu-4.jpg" width="800" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;There are remains of buildings on the original part of Sprogø from the beginning of the 12th century, a fortress built under king Valdemar the Great. During construction work, extensive archaeological investigations were undertaken, and among other findings it was revealed that the first inhabitants arrived more than 8,000 years ago.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The island has no permanent population today, but is used by Sund og Bælt, the company that owns and operates the bridges. It is also a nature reserve, and tours of the island are organised.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;A darker part of the island's history are the years between 1923 and 1959, when the island was used for containment of women deemed pathologically promiscuous, the main concern being unwanted pregnancies. At the time it was considered a very humane approach, given the fact that they had previously been confined.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Sprogø was a station for the semaphore line across the Belt, Storebæltstelegrafen, between Nyborg and Korsør, in operation between 1801 and 1865.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The lighthouse, which can be seen in the picture, was built by the mail service in 1868, replacing an older structure from 1809. The architect Professor Niels Sigfred Nelbong (1806 – 1871) was responsible for the way this tower looks. The building work itself started in 1854 and took 4 years, which was because the building materials had to be transported by land to Skagen, because there was no harbour yet. On the 1st of November 1858 the tower was first lit. It has the name of King Fredrik VII in the wall. The first years the tower had a fixed light, until a rotating lighting apparatus replaced it in 1905. With a height of 46 meters it was Denmark’s highest tower until 1962. On the bottom the diameter of the tower is 9 m and at the top 6 meters. There are 210 steps to the gallery. The tower is open to the public and you have a great view over the towns of Grenen and Skagen. Pian majakan rakentamisen jälkeen huomattiin sen sijaitsevan väylältä liian sivussa ja aiheuttavan jopa haaksirikkoja. Uusi majakka päätettiin rakentaa Söderskärin saarelle. Arkkitehti Lohrmanin suunnittelema kuusikerroksinen uusgoottilainen majakka valmistui vuonna 1862. Tornin 8,6 metrinen alaosa oli kiveä ja loppuosa tiiltä. Söderskärin linssilaitteisto oli toinen Suomeen jo 1860-luvulla tilatuista ranskalaisista Fresnelin linssistöistä. Linssilaitteistoa ympäröi lasilyhty, jonka kuparikaton jokaisessa kymmenessä alanurkassa oli pronssiset leijonanpäät. Majakkamestari ja kolme majakanvartijaa asuivat naapurisaarella puisissa asuinrakennuksissa. Vuonna 1957 majakanvartijat poistuivat ja majakka automatisoitiin. Se oli 12 metriä korkea kasuuniperustainen pohjamajakka. Keväällä 1964 läheiseltä Orrengrundin luotsiasemalta havaittiin majakan valon hävinneen kokonaan. Paikalle hälytetty jäänmurtaja Murtajan miehistö onnistui kairaamalla ja luotaamalla löytämään kaatuneen majakan jäännökset. Katkeamissyyksi todettiin epäonnistunut betonivalu. Tainion majakka rakennettiin uudelleen 1966. Aikaisemmista kasuunimajakoista poiketen tämä rakennettiin valmiiksi telakalla ja uitettiin kokonaisena paikalleen. Ainoastaan kasuuniosan täyttäminen tapahtui merellä. Uuden majakan valotunnus on kymmenen valkoisen välähdyksen vilkkuvalo, joka näkyy 7,5 meripeninkulman päähän. Torniin on asennettu myös tutkamajakka. It was 12 meters high ground beacon. In spring 1964 Orrengrund pilot station pilots noticed that the light has disappeared. Icebreaker "Murtaja" crew managed to find out that the hole lighthouse was gone. Tainio lighthouse rebuilt in 1966. This was built at shipyard and flouted to it´s final place. A new light beacon symbol has ten white flash strobe light, which appears in 7.5-mile away. There has been later installed radar beacon. Majakan ensimmäinen sumumerkinantolaite oli vuodelta 1901 peräisin oleva käsikäyttöinen ns. Hansenin sireeni. Vuonna 1906 sireeni muutettiin kuulamoottoreilla ja kompressoreilla toimivaksi ja sille rakennettiin konesuoja, jossa oli myös koneenkäyttäjän asunto. Sumutorven pituus oli 7 metriä ja kidan halkaisija 3. Kesällä 1903 Kallon majakka rakennettiin uuteen uskoon. Uusi kahdeksankulmainen majakkatorni koottiin rautaelementeistä ja sen kupeeseen rakennettiin loistonhoitajan asunto. Kallo Lighthouse is a small lighthouse, where you can drive with your car right to the destination.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In front of Pori, to Kallo island, was erected first wooden lighthouse with diopterisine light fittings in 1884. First lighthouse foghorn was from 1901 hand-to-use so-called Hansen's siren. In 1906 siren ball was modified to work with motors and compressors. Foghorn length was 7 m and diameter 3 m. The summer of 1903, Kallo lighthouse was rebuild. New octagonal lighthouse tower was build from iron and next to it was build house for lighthouse keeper. Lighthouse was installed two overlapping light device, which was to identify different forms of red and white flashing lights. 1930s, the lighthouse was first amended to the gas and then electric. Tunnusmajakka sinne saatiin 1700-luvulla ja valomajakka vasta 1883. Ensimmäinen valomajakka oli vain 7,3 metriä korkea ja se pian huomattiinkin liian matalaksi. Kesällä 1900 sen korkeus kaksinkertaistettiin rakentamalla tornin alle nelikulmainen graniittinen ja tiilinen rakennelma. Ensimmäinen valolaite majakkaan hankittiin Ranskasta. Siinä oli petrolikäyttöinen valolaite ja Fresnelin järjestelmän mukainen linssistö. Sumussa ja huonolla näkyvyydellä laivoja ohjasi iso sumusireeni-laitteisto. Vuonna 1936 Harmajaan asennettiin maailman ensimmäinen suunnattu ja suuntaamaton radiomajakka. There was code beacon 1700's and the lighthouse until 1883. The first lighthouse was only 7.3 meters high and will soon be noticed too low. In summer 1900 they doubled the height of the construction by building below the tower four rectangular granite and bricks construction. The first light device was acquired from France. In 1936 they installed to Harmaja the world's first targeted and the omni-directional radio beacon. Vähitellen niitä alettiin ottaa käyttöön Suomessakin. Vuonna 1947 rakennettiin ensin Kihdin selälle pieni Gustaf Dalénin teräsbetonimajakka. Gradually, they began to be introduced in Finland. In 1947 built the first to Kihti open sea: Gustaf Dalén lighthouse. Ensimmäinen asutus saarelle saatiin 1540-luvulla, kun Ruotsin kruunu määräsi kaksi jurmolaista kalastajaa muuttamaan saarelle, toimimaan tarvittaessa luotseina sekä polttamaan tulia laivojen opastamiseksi. Suomen ensimmäinen valomajakka rakennettiin Utön saarelle vuonna 1753. Arkkitehti Hårlemanin Ruotsin amiraliteettikollegiolle valmistamat piirustukset esittivät siroa sylinterimäistä harmaakivitornia. Majakan rakentaneet turkulaiset urakoitsijat toteuttivat suunnitelmat kuitenkin osaksi tavallisesta maakivestä ja huomattavasti arkisemmin. Valmistunut torni oli 31 metriä korkea ja siinä poltettiin kuutta rasvalamppua. Majakan valolaite käsitti kuusi rasvalamppua ja neljä kuparipeiliä, joilla valo heijastettiin merelle. Lampuissa poltettiin hamppuöljyä silloin, kun kruunun varastoista sitä heltisi. Muulloin poltettiin itsepyydystettyjen hylkeiden traania ja kalaöljyä. Ruotsin esimerkin mukaan majakkaan rakennettiin ulkoinen valo- ja savulaite: raudoitetun puomin nokassa roikkuva kori, jossa poltettiin kivihiiltä. Vuonna 1814 rakennettiin uusi majakka Suomen sodassa räjäytetyn vanhan tilalle. Tämä nelikulmaiseksi muurattu kivirakennus on majakan runkona vielä nykyäänkin. Valolähteenä oli suuren heijastuspeilin polttopisteeseen asetetut 10 talikynttilää, joita pyöritettiin käsivoimin. Tehottomaksi havaittu valolaite korvattiin kuitenkin vuonna 1818 kellolaitteen avulla pyörivällä öljylampulla ja lopulta 1826 se muutettiin kiinteävaloiseksi. Painavaa lähes kolmimetristä heijastinta liikutettiin pystyakselinsa varassa ympäri kerran tunnissa. Valokeila pysäytettiin viideksi minuutiksi kerrallaan tärkeimpiin ilmansuuntiin merenkulkijoita opastamaan. Tämä koettiin kuitenkin liian harvoin tapahtuvaksi sillä laivat ehtivät purjehtia useita meripeninkulmia täysin pimeässä ennen kuin majakka taas näyttäytyi seuraavan kerran. Myös valon teho koettiin riittämättömäksi. 1800-luvun alkupuolella majakanvartijoiden määrä nousi kahdesta neljään. He asuivat vuonna 1753 rakennetussa, nykypäivänäkin pystyssä olevassa "stenshusetissa", joka käsitti kolme huonetta ja pakarituvan. 1800-luvulla myös koko saaren väkiluku nousi lähelle sataa. Isoksi paisunut syrjäinen yhteisö vaati vähitellen hengellistäkin ravintoa. 1800-luvulla saarelle saatiin sekä koulu että kirkko. Jo 1800-luvun alussa sisustivat saarelaiset majakan kolmannen kerroksen kirkoksi, jossa saaren vanhimmat miehet, joskus jopa Korppoon pappi, pitivät joka pyhäistä jumalanpalvelusta. Kirkossa oli saarnastuoli, alttari, lukkarinpenkki ja -numerot, kirkon penkit sekä alttaritaulu. Koulutoimintakin aloitettiin jo 1840-luvulla, kun ylimajakanvartija aloitti majakka- ja luotsiväen kirjoitus- ja laskutaidon harjoittamisen. Kansakoulu perustettiin vuonna 1884. Vuonna 1865 majakka sai punavalkoisen pystyraidoituksensa ja vuonna 1869 sen lyhtyosa muutettiin nykyistä vastaavaksi. Vuonna 1935 Utöstä tuli Suomen ensimmäinen radiomajakka. Tornin tyveen rakennettiin kivinen voima-asema, josta lopulta koko saari sai sähkönsä. Vuonna 1824 myrsky vei merkin mennessään. Keko rakennettiin uudelleen. Vuonna 1887 päätettiin rakentaa majakka ja se rakennettiin Jussarön saareen. Majakanvartijoille perheineen rakennettiin asunnot majakan läheisyyteen. Vuosina 1893 - 1906 majakka oli valaistu myös talvisin sillä Suomenlahti ei leutoina talvina jäätynyt vaan liikenne sai jatkua talven ympäri. Majakka osoittautui rakenteiltaan huonoksi ja sijaintikaan ei ollut paras mahdollinen.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Uusi majakka päätettiin rakentaa 1922. Majakka tehtiin Sundharunin luodoille Jussarön eteläpuolelle lähemmän väyliä. Majakka suunniteltiin alun perin automaattiseksi, jolloin majakanvartijoille ei tarvinnut rakentaa tiloja majakkaan. A storm ripped the beacon off in 1824. The hill was piled up anew. In 1887 a lighthouse was built on Jussarö island. Homes for lighthouse keepers and their families were built near the lighthouse. In the years 1893-1906 the lighthouse was lighted also during winter because the Gulf of Finland did not freeze over during the moderate winters so that traffic could go on there through winter. The lighthouse did not prove out very good in its structures, nor was its location the best possible one.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;i&gt;A new lighthouse was built in 1922 on Sundharu rocks south of Jussarö closer to the channels. The lighthouse was designed to be automatic to begin with so that no premises needed to be built in the lighthouse for lighthouse keepers. Ei mikään ultramoderni merenkulkuläpsykkä, vaan ihka aito majakka.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Porkkala, Suomenlahti / Gulf of Finland&lt;br /&gt;59 52,1 N 24 18,4 E&lt;br /&gt;Rakennusvuosi / build: 1920,1961,1965,1984,1992&lt;br /&gt;Valon korkeus / light height: 21,4 m&lt;br /&gt;Valon kantomatka / light distance: 12,0 M&lt;br /&gt;Kunta / commune: Kirkkonummi&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Porkkalan eteläpuolinen väylä sai ensimmäisen valomajakkansa vuonna 1800. Suunnitelmat majakkaan teki luutnantti Gustaf Brodd ja piirrustukset hyväksyi nuori kuningas Kustaa IV Adolf, jonka hyväksymismerkintä ja nimikirjoitus ovat näkyvissä piirrustuksen oikeassa ylälaidassa. 15 metriä korkean kivestä louhitun tornin kellari rakennettiin polttoainetta varten ja keskikerrokseen yksi huone majakanvartijan asunnoksi. Majakan kivitornin laella oli kahdeksankulmainen puinen lanternirakennus, jossa oli yksitoista koristeellista kaari-ikkunaa. Majakka toimi aluksi kymmenellä hamppuöljyä polttavalla lampulla joiden valo heijastettiin merelle suurella pyöreällä heijastimella. Joskus polttoaineena käytettiin myös puukaasua, jota saatiin majakan yhteyteen rakennetusta sysimiilusta. Järjestelmän etu oli sivutuotantona tuleva sysi ja terva, joita myytiin eteenpäin. Rönnskärin ensimmäinen valomajakka tuhoutui käyttökelvottomaksi Suomen sodassa 1808-09. Vuonna 1814 korjattu uusi kynttilöillä ja öljylampulla toimiva majakka todettiin lähes samantien epäkäytännölliseksi. Lyhdyn heijastin oli kehnotekoinen, kellokoneisto pyöri liian hitaasti ja itse tornikin oli liian matala. Vuonna 1822 majakkaa korotettiinkin ja siihen asennettiin uusi 17 öljylamppua käsittävä valolaitteisto. 1800-luvun aikana majakkaan tehtiin lukuisia parannuksia. Tornia korotettiin siten, että koko loiston korkeudeksi tuli 50 metriä merenpinnasta. Vähitellen myös kellokoneisto poistettiin ja majakka muutettiin vilkkuvaloisesta kiinteävaloiseksi. Vuosina 1881-82 majakkaan asennettiin uusi Fresnelin järjestelmän mukainen linssistö. Vuonna 1928 Porkkalan Kallbådan majakan valmistuttua Rönnskär muutettiin tunnusmajakaksi. Porkkalan Kallbådan majakan rakentaminen tuli ajankohtaiseksi 1920-luvulla, kun Rönnskärin majakan oli todettu sijaitsevan liiaksi saariston sisäpuolella. Sumumerkinantoasemalla varustettu uusi majakka rakennettiin 6,5 mpk etelämmäksi entisestä majakasta pienelle myrskyille ja ahtojäille alttiille Kallbådan luodolle. Rautabetonin käyttöönotto mahdollisti majakan rakentamisen rakennustöitä vaikeuttaneista myrskyistä huolimatta. Koko viime sotien ajan majakan miehitys oli neljä majakkamiestä ja useita sotilaita. Rauhan tultua se jäi Porkkalan vuokra-alueen sisäpuolelle ja oli 1944-1955 neuvostoliittolaisten valvonnassa. Porkkalan takaisinsaamisen jälkeen majakka oli niin huonossa kunnossa ettei siinä voinut enää asua. Majakanvartijat sijoitettiinkin Rönnskäriin, mistä käsin he hoitivat tehtäviään. Perille vei tie. Sinne oli päästävä! Paikan päällä yllätys oli melkoinen. Tien alapäässä oli portti, jonne maksettuaan pääsi jatkamaan matkaa. Ajomatka kannatti, periltä löytyi suuri luonnonsuojelualue kävelyreitteineen ja SE MAJAKKA.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a href="http://sv.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kullens_fyr"&gt;Kullensin majakka&lt;/a&gt; luonnonsuojelualueineen on todellinen helmi. Realistista mahdollisuutta kaikkien niiden kuvaamiseen minulla ei ole. Majakka oli miehittämätön kaasukäyttöinen sektoriloisto. Ensimmäisen majakan tuhouduttua talvisodan alussa rakennettiin nykyisen majakan perusta vuonna 1940. Sen alaosassa oli kolmikerroksinen huoltobunkkeri, keskiosassa automaattinen sumukello ja yläosassa loistokoju. Pohjois-Itämeri sijaitsee Ahvenanmerestä ja Saaristomerestä etelään.
